Brock Huard of KIRO Radio's 'Brock and Salk' tandem will be on the mic again this spring for United Football League games airing the FOX networks. He'll be on a telecast next weekend, the first weekend in May and then later for these semifinals. The Puyallup native starred for UW and later played for the Seahawks and Colts
"I am no longer at Komo 4." Thanks. Longtime Weather Anchor Rebecca Stevenson confirms that she left the station just before Christmas. Her last Facebook posts are 12/17. She has the Seattle station Quintafecta, having worked at the old NWCN, KING, KIRO, KCPQ and KOMO. Looks like her decision. Wants a new chapter. She was doing mainly weekend evenings for KOMO. Perhaps Stella Sun will move there. She has been sharing weekend mornings with Theron Zahn.

UFL? Unwatched Football League. Can’t imagine the ratings.
ReplyDeleteI can see some ratings on national sports so I will try to get this weekend's numbers. But I can't watch it either.
ReplyDeleteBrock took a year off to coach his football playing son. I think he has designs on doing NFL color. He’s just getting back in the game

Good on Brock for taking the time to coach his son! They have undoubtedly made many memories that will last a lifetime over the course of the season, and those are priceless!
DeleteAs for getting back in the broadcast game, the UFL is a good place for him to do that. If he wants to keep coaching his son, the UFL could allow him to do that as the seasons don't overlap.
I know he would love a shot at NFL analysis. They change personnel all the time in the booth, so it could happen down the road. He is very dedicated to his children who all play sports, so he was glad to get off the road for awhile. We shall see.
DeleteThe NFL is undoubtedly a larger, more prominent gig. I hope he does get a chance to do analysis for them someday.
DeleteBrock saw your comment and he gave it a thumbs up to me.
