Seattle radio ratings are out for October and both Bonneville properties are in the top 5, KIRO 710 at #2 and KIRO-FM jumping from a double digit standing last month to #5. The AM stayed in second place but dropped .7 while FM rose .8. KNWN sank lower dropping to a 2.8. KUOW leads the pack as usual with a flat book, which seemed a bit surprising in the election cycle. Sort out the numbers for youselves.
"I am no longer at Komo 4." Thanks. Longtime Weather Anchor Rebecca Stevenson confirms that she left the station just before Christmas. Her last Facebook posts are 12/17. She has the Seattle station Quintafecta, having worked at the old NWCN, KING, KIRO, KCPQ and KOMO. Looks like her decision. Wants a new chapter. She was doing mainly weekend evenings for KOMO. Perhaps Stella Sun will move there. She has been sharing weekend mornings with Theron Zahn.

KIRO-FM seems to have benefited the most from the election cycle. KUOW did well, despite being flat. Its KNWN that worries me. They shouldn't have been down in a busy pre-election month.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if KIRO FM’s rise is attributable to the morning news , talk shows or both. I’m finding myself in the 6am hour tuning into KIRO FM , 710 AM may be playing a repeat interview I already heard. I used to switch to KVI but Ari is god awful, to me at least.
ReplyDeleteCurley did a bunch of political talk and Harger and Factor are jelling, too
