Her goodbye post below! After an almost five-year stint, FOX 13 meteorologist and part-time news anchor Abby Acone ends her run there with a final show on this Sunday morning. Married earlier this month, she left no word on what's next. Not sure if it is fully her decision, but I'm told she had 'favored nation' status with news management. Before joining 13 in December of 2021, she worked three years at KOMO and also did a stint in Tri-Cities. Fittingly, this last shot on IG is studio appropriate. I’ve had the joy of working alongside some of the most talented, hardworking, and genuinely wonderful people in th...
It's a good list. I'm not surprised about KOMO/KIRO, in fact I could not find KIRO. That probably tells us a lot about how much the stations are A. investing in their YouTube product and B. advertising that on their newscasts and elsewhere. Speaking of TV station YouTube, KING is airing their weekly HS football game on there tonight in addition to K5+. Egan announced that on socials this morning. And it might be the first time he can get away with being a homer announcer too (Puyallup HS, his alma mater, is playing in the game). So it will be interesting to see how the viewership numbers track between the two sources to see if this impacts what they may do with this coverage next year
ReplyDeleteYup, no KIRO. Interesting to see Albany and Louisville up high.
ReplyDeleteI was surprised to see Louisville and Albany ranking as high as they were. I would have expected stations in the top markets to fully consume the list, which they didn't.
