We know Elise Woodward has been named the new play-by-play voice of UW football, replacing Tony Castricone, whose job also included being Director of Broadcasting for the university as well as handling basketball duty. That job will NOT go to Woodward, and it was posted today on linkedin.com.

"Learfield is seeking a talented and engaging Director of Broadcasting to serve as the primary radio voice for University of Washington men’s basketball and support Huskies athletics across multiple sports and media platforms.
This highly visible role is responsible for delivering men’s basketball play-by-play coverage, producing compelling audio and digital content, and enhancing the overall fan experience through storytelling and multimedia engagement. The Director of Broadcasting serves as a key representative of both LEARFIELD and the University of Washington, working closely with athletics personnel, coaches, student-athletes, corporate partners, media affiliates, and internal stakeholders to produce high-quality broadcasts and content that support the university’s brand and business objectives.In addition to men’s basketball broadcasting responsibilities, this position will contribute to digital and social content, athletics and property events, sponsorship initiatives, and strategic efforts designed to promote ticket sales and strengthen the University of Washington brand.
