Her goodbye post below! After an almost five-year stint, FOX 13 meteorologist and part-time news anchor Abby Acone ends her run there with a final show on this Sunday morning. Married earlier this month, she left no word on what's next. Not sure if it is fully her decision, but I'm told she had 'favored nation' status with news management. Before joining 13 in December of 2021, she worked three years at KOMO and also did a stint in Tri-Cities. Fittingly, this last shot on IG is studio appropriate. I've been frequently critical of her on this site for using the station's studio to post questionable videos (IMO), but for now, good luck. Warren's post not only provides a glimpse of what the reporters in Spokane who have had to cover these fires have been through, but it also shows that people still have trust and respect for local media. I wish everyone in Spokane the very best as they begin the process of recovering and rebuilding from these devastating fires.
ReplyDeleteI’m going to preface my comments by saying that Bradley’s style is a little too caffeinated for me. But … with every significant breaking news event he covers, his storytelling gets stronger. Easily best in market field reporting for this breaking news event. Period. KHQ owned and continues to own the story.
ReplyDeleteKHQ has really made an impression with how well they have covered this story. They've demonstrated just what television news is still capable of doing in Spokane, and its far more than what the viewers over there normally get. I hope they will keep up the momentum in the weeks and months to come as the recovery from the fires continues.
