Teased three old stories, one by Whitaker, one by Stahl, one by the departed Cooper. The anchor intro included everyone: Pelley, Copper, Alfonsi, Vega. All rights reserved. Nothing to see here.
But I wonder what kind of lead-in it was for the Tony Award on CBS? Curiosity tune-in? I turned it off after peeking at the opening sequence.
There's a long interview with Pelley at the NYTimes. FYI

The show is in repeat mode for the summer. It will be interesting to see what the show will look and feel like when new episodes return in September. Its definitely going to be different, and likely not in a good way.
ReplyDeleteThe season ended last month. It's in reruns.
ReplyDeleteI realize that, but I thought there was a chance to make an intro change without three people they just fired. - Pelley, Vega and Alfonsi. As I wrote, they control the rights to whatever has been produced so they decided to proceed with the old gang. They likely didn't want to make any adjustments anyway because the lawyers told them not to with lawsuit up ahead.
DeleteDuh!
