"I am no longer at Komo 4." Thanks. Longtime Weather Anchor Rebecca Stevenson confirms that she left the station just before Christmas. Her last Facebook posts are 12/17. She has the Seattle station Quintafecta, having worked at the old NWCN, KING, KIRO, KCPQ and KOMO. Looks like her decision. Wants a new chapter. She was doing mainly weekend evenings for KOMO. Perhaps Stella Sun will move there. She has been sharing weekend mornings with Theron Zahn.

The full MLB package also had a price cut Wayne and they usually do this a few times a season owing to the reduced number of games people will be able to view. They actually will likely have a dirt-cheap offer toward the end of the season for the pennant push although these reduced prices with where the M's currently stand probably won't move the needle especially if one is getting the games on linear TV or is willing to put up with the limited OTA/Fox games
ReplyDeleteThanks. That splashy ad looked awfully desperate to, as if trying to salvage subs.. So far, I see no beat reporter or anyone else reporting how many subs Mariners TV actually has. Same problem last year with Root. How many subs compared to linear ratings when Root aired all the games? There's a story there.
DeleteYes but to calculate sub numbers you'd have to add both the paid subs with those getting access to it via linear so that may be a hard number to work to. Divish at the Times would probably be the best guy to do such a story but if it is line with what everyone else is seeing right now, the numbers are probably not good which to be fair was expected across the board. The upcoming CBA negotiations between owners and players this will be the central issue surrounding those Wayne and I along with many others expect a long work stoppage because the sport will not be able to find a happy medium to address this issue
DeleteI have written Divish but he hasn't pursued. All I really want to see is how many people signed up for Mariners TV vs Root-Xifinity paid sign-ups last year and Root linear the year before. I understand your point but it can be done if they wanted to reveal the data. They don't want to rock the looming boat.
DeleteYou are not wrong there Wayne.
DeleteIt started at $100 for the local market but it'll drop as the season goes on.
