Her goodbye post below! After an almost five-year stint, FOX 13 meteorologist and part-time news anchor Abby Acone ends her run there with a final show on this Sunday morning. Married earlier this month, she left no word on what's next. Not sure if it is fully her decision, but I'm told she had 'favored nation' status with news management. Before joining 13 in December of 2021, she worked three years at KOMO and also did a stint in Tri-Cities. Fittingly, this last shot on IG is studio appropriate. I've been frequently critical of her on this site for using the station's studio to post questionable videos (IMO), but for now, good luck. For sure. Had a read of this story also Wayne. Ang is tough as nails as you can tell from this story and great that you are giving this some attention because this is the first anyone has heard about this medical scare for her.

ReplyDeleteI would expect so out of the gate; if you saw the story it noted she was allowed to miss a couple of spring training assignments due to it, so I'd presume folks won't see her as much let's say over the first month or so of the season then after that she'll probably be working her full game schedule
DeleteThe fact that she will be back in the broadcasting booth so soon after suffering a stroke, even if on a limited basis, is nothing short of remarkable! Strokes are no joke!
DeleteSo, save a nickel to lose a dollar. I'm no numbers guy, but there would seem to be some value in exposure. Showing your product to the masses should create more interest.
