Great shill 9:30 interview piece with the ABC mogul change today and David Muir lubricated his nest doing the job. Meaningless long form interview affecting no one while the country suffers, pushing out real news for people. Shameful. Look in the mirror, Muir. You are the conduit for this crap. The show only has 22 minutes of news and this wasted most of it. A new low and another reason no one trusts journalism as it does corporate PR. Save this for GMA and have Strahan do it, a non-journalist, but I imagine the pressure on Muir was either great or he was thrilled to compromise himself.
"I am no longer at Komo 4." Thanks. Longtime Weather Anchor Rebecca Stevenson confirms that she left the station just before Christmas. Her last Facebook posts are 12/17. She has the Seattle station Quintafecta, having worked at the old NWCN, KING, KIRO, KCPQ and KOMO. Looks like her decision. Wants a new chapter. She was doing mainly weekend evenings for KOMO. Perhaps Stella Sun will move there. She has been sharing weekend mornings with Theron Zahn.

Muir, Muir, on the wall, who’s the lamest of them all? He’s a preening poser.
ReplyDeletePBS News Hour all the way.
ReplyDeleteAgreed! The PBS NewsHour is a good program that covers a lot of stories the big three networks simply don't touch, particularly on the foreign affairs, arts, and culture beats. Its also delivered in a calm manner, a concept the big three networks have largely abandonded.
DeleteThey spent nearly half of their newscast on a longform interview related to the new CEO of Disney? Good grief! Disney's new CEO is a story worth featuring on the national evening news, but it could have been handled as a typical reporter package in less than three minutes, or even as an anchor-only voiceover in less than one minute. This interview should have been saved for GMA as suggested. It could have also been saved for the ABC News Live streaming service, which has a 90 minute long evening program that focuses heavilly on longform content. World News Tonight was not the place for it.
