Brawl breaks out at KOMO Plaza on NY Eve near the Space Needle and reporter Jeremy Harris weighed in on social. Odd comment from the station's primary crime reporter about a violent situation and mentioning a competitor. Don't get it.
"I am no longer at Komo 4." Thanks. Longtime Weather Anchor Rebecca Stevenson confirms that she left the station just before Christmas. Her last Facebook posts are 12/17. She has the Seattle station Quintafecta, having worked at the old NWCN, KING, KIRO, KCPQ and KOMO. Looks like her decision. Wants a new chapter. She was doing mainly weekend evenings for KOMO. Perhaps Stella Sun will move there. She has been sharing weekend mornings with Theron Zahn.
Harris should not be encouraging such violent, antisocial behavior. This brawl did not need to be taken to KIRO's front door or anywhere else. It frankly shouldn't have happened in the first place.
ReplyDeleteI hope the brawlers will be held to account for their actions, and that KOMO management reprimands Harris for his post. It is a very bad look for a reporter to be promoting violence, especially towards a competitor, as seems to be the case here.
Classless. It looked like he was trying to be funny.
