Seattle radio will get some words from a Trump advocate

Scott Jennings, who has found a place on CNN as a political analyst advocating for the President/GOP on various of its panel shows, will add a move to the Salem Radio Network here (KKOL AM 1300 The Answer in Seattle) starting on Jan. 5.  That station did not register any ratings during the Oct-Nov measurement period.   Not sure anyone in Seattle will hear his words!!!

Here's more from Fox:

CNN commentator Scott Jennings and Breitbart News editor-in-chief Alex Marlow are set to take over Salem Radio Network's noon-3 p.m. ET time slot formerly held by slain conservative activist Charlie Kirk on Jan. 5, according to a press release issued Wednesday.

  1. Can't say I've ever heard much about KKOL, but I have seen Scott Jennings too many times on CNN. If his radio show is anything like his appearances on CNN, it won't draw much of an audience in this particular media market.

  2. I find most of the Salem programs to be so hyper partisan, to me they are unlistenable. One exception is Hugh Hewitt. When he’s on point he can express a point of view I can understand, maybe not agree but a fair point nonetheless. Scott has a shrill voice and to me is a partisan hack.
Remember Salem booted Michael Medved for not being Trump enough! I miss him!

  3. I would prefer having a cystoscopy anytime rather than listening to Scott Jennings for even one minute. That is just my nickel ninety eight.

  4. This website leans heavily left. Opinions expressed confirm this.

Rebecca Stevenson has left KOMO

"I am no longer at Komo 4." Thanks.  Longtime Weather Anchor Rebecca Stevenson confirms that she left the station just before Christmas.  Her last Facebook posts are 12/17.  She has the Seattle station Quintafecta, having worked at the old NWCN, KING, KIRO, KCPQ and KOMO.  Looks like her decision.  Wants a new chapter.   She was doing mainly weekend evenings for KOMO.  Perhaps Stella Sun will move there.   She has been sharing weekend mornings with Theron Zahn.

Where is Frankie?

Many have missed KIRO 7's weekend PM weather anchor, Frankie Katafias, so I reached out to some of my sources to find an answer.    She is apparently taking a few months of leave, but not known specifically what the reason may be.  Although there is uncertainty, it could be a personal or family matter.   I am told she is expected back at some point in the new year.  She is a great asset to what has become a troubled station.  Meanwhile former KOIN Portland chief met holds down the fort.

Frankie Flees KIRO7

UPDATE:  Frankie got married!!! Acting on tips from two of my loyal readers, I see that Weekend Weather Wizard Frankie Katafias is indeed missing from the KIRO 7 website.  Freelancer Scott Haveson filled in this past Sunday and we know that reporter Brandon Thompson has hit the weather wall in the past as a fill-in.   No word on if Frankie fled on her own or was told to.   She came to Seattle in 2022, so maybe it was a three-year deal that ended?
