"I am no longer at Komo 4." Thanks. Longtime Weather Anchor Rebecca Stevenson confirms that she left the station just before Christmas. Her last Facebook posts are 12/17. She has the Seattle station Quintafecta, having worked at the old NWCN, KING, KIRO, KCPQ and KOMO. Looks like her decision. Wants a new chapter. She was doing mainly weekend evenings for KOMO. Perhaps Stella Sun will move there. She has been sharing weekend mornings with Theron Zahn.
Seattle has had a parade of one-termers for mayor. It begs the question of what do Seattle voters want?

DeleteWith Wilson's victory, "experience" required for any job is going to be a meaningless since she hardly as any experience to speak thereof. You can tell any hiring manager the excuse "well, our mayor doesn't have any and she runs our city". I can say good luck, Katie, she is going to need it. How she is going to tackle the homeless situation, budget, prepping the city for the World Cup next year, any natural disasters are some of those things and going to be interesting. She is going to perhaps use ChatGPT to solve those problems or in her own words: "I'll make some phone calls".
ReplyDeleteWho said phone calls were a bad thing? If she is calling up experts in the relevant areas, such as meteorology for severe weather, for advice and recommendations on what she should do, that would be a good thing. She can't know everything about everything.

I think what Seattle needs to protect is its property tax base , the vacancy rate in downtown is high but steady. We have seen Martin Selig lose a couple of foreclosures. If you walk around town as I did last Friday you’re going to notice the lack of people and retail.
