Hey everybody, Fox 13 Sports Director Aaron Levine will be a contestant on JEOPARDY next Monday night on KOMO/ABC, right after the Monday Night Football at 10:30 pm. He says "It was an experience I will never forget," but added 'Timing that buzzer is tough." Special thanks went out to his bosses for letting him appear on another channel in town and achieve a lifelong dream. If you miss it, it will stream on Peacock and Hulu the following morning.
Congratulations to one of the hardest workers in the market. More at his X page: @AaronLevine

Congrats to Aaron for going on Jepoardy! A once in a lifetime oppertunity for the average person, let alone someone who works at a station Jepoardy doesn't air on.
ReplyDeleteAaron, if I remember right, competed on the ESPN reality show, Dream Job. It was kind of ESPN's version of The Apprentice. The winner would get a time slot on the network.
ReplyDeleteThank you very much, Mike, and you are correct about him being on Dream Job. In fact, he was in the first season finals against the eventual winner, Mike Hall, who works for the Big Ten Network.
DeleteI wrote a post on my blog, also promoting this post.
ReplyDeleteThanks again, it would be smart of KOMO to promote that he will be on even though he is on KCPQ. Would be a ratings hit.
DeleteI did hear KCPQ yesterday congratulating Aaron and letting people know that the episode would air on Monday night on KOMO and it would also be available on Peacock on Tuesday.
DeleteI hope my dates are correct. Monday, October 27th?
DeleteYep, the 27th and next day streaming on Peacock and Hulu.
DeleteVery good, thanks for that update. I hope KOMO returns the favor.
ReplyDeleteI remember the days when you would never mention a competitor on the air. Probably good that has changed.
DeleteTV news may be a cutthroat and competitive business, but the goal of keeping viewers safe and informed is a responsibility all stations have. That is something they can unite around. I remember during the early days of COVID that all four stations in Richmond, Virginia came together for a joint promos campaign encouraging people to seek out accurate, trustworthy news, with all four stations being touted as places where such news can be found. To hear the promo tell it, it didn't matter which station you watched. What mattered was that you were getting the truth. It was a refreshing change of pace, and one that I'd like to see more markets take. COVID may not be the biggest factor in our lives anymore, but the need for accurate and trustworthy news is stronger than ever.
