Caryn Littler, who worked the assignment desk at KING 5, moved to DC a while back to take the job of assignment manager at NBC News Washington. Now, FTVlive.com reports that after 8 years, she was laid off last Wednesday. The story is behind a paywall, but she wrote: "If you are in the market for an Assignment Manager or general logistics.communications extraordinaire, please reach out." Others were also laod off at the same time and Paramount.CBS layoffs are nigh.
"I am no longer at Komo 4." Thanks.  Longtime Weather Anchor Rebecca Stevenson confirms that she left the station just before Christmas.  Her last Facebook posts are 12/17.  She has the Seattle station Quintafecta, having worked at the old NWCN, KING, KIRO, KCPQ and KOMO.  Looks like her decision.  Wants a new chapter.   She was doing mainly weekend evenings for KOMO.  Perhaps Stella Sun will move there.   She has been sharing weekend mornings with Theron Zahn.

Sorry to hear that Littler has lost her job. I wish her, everyone who has been laid off from NBC in recent weeks, everyone who is about to be laid off at Paramount Skydance (CBS), and everyone being let go at Amazon (that is goimg to be a major story in this market this week) all the best in finding new jobs. It is not getting any easier out there, and the pool of people looking for work is only continuing to grow. All while the use of AI, which is one of the reasons Amazon is citing for its layoffs, among employers of all sizes, media industry or not, continues to grow, for better or worse.
