KOMO still has not posted head shots or bios of its brand new weekend morning anchor and two reporters, one of whom has been on staff for a good while and the other several months already. One insider told me when that new weekend anchor Natalie Fahmy arrived in August, the page would likely be updated.
On the other hand, the picture of a female anchor who left July 30th remains up. And, also a Sinclair national correspondent is on the page (probably a corporate must!). I don't understand why this not updated to accurately reflect staff and help viewers learn a little more about their favorite reporters/personalities. Is is because it costs too much to hire a professional photographer? Is there no one in Creative Services who can't take photos using the studio lighting? Is the digital team overworked and can't get to it? Or does KOMO believe the page is not imprtant enough to keep current and fresh and not a priority? It's for some personal and station pride, isn't it? For me, I like to read the bios of new people or people who have been overlooked to date.
Not a big deal, just a curiosity.
I did notice that Steve Soliz's bio was added to the page. It hadn't been there when I last looked back around the time he started at KOMO. Hopefully, they'll get the page updated to reflect the most recent talent changes soon.
ReplyDeleteYes, Steve and Stella and Waldenberger have been added.
ReplyDeleteIf you’re going to have one of these web pages, keep it updated. Otherwise, you look like you can’t even keep up with your own news — let alone real news.
ReplyDeleteNot sure what your beef is. I have posted six times in the last four days. So I think I am keeping up just fine.
ReplyDeleteReferring to KOMO team page. Not yours. Sorry for the confusion.
ReplyDeleteOh, duh, no worries. Not awake yet. LOL. You are right about KOMO. Ryan SImms has been there I think for more than a year and still nothing. Press on. Thanks for reading.
ReplyDeleteIs Simms actually employed by KOMO or just a freelancer? If he is only a freelancer, his bio might not be added. I've noticed over the years that freelancers don't tend to have full bios added to TV station websites.
DeleteI believe Simms is fulltime, as is newbie reporter Tyler Cunningham and now Natalie Fahmy. And she's a weekend anchor along with Zahn, who is pictured. Even if he was freelance, he is part of the TEAM and has been there for quite a while, so you would expect that pic.
ReplyDeleteIf he is full time, then KOMO is running quite behind at getting a bio up for him. And I do agree with you that since he is part of the team, he should have a bio up, regardless of freelancer status.
