"I am no longer at Komo 4." Thanks. Longtime Weather Anchor Rebecca Stevenson confirms that she left the station just before Christmas. Her last Facebook posts are 12/17. She has the Seattle station Quintafecta, having worked at the old NWCN, KING, KIRO, KCPQ and KOMO. Looks like her decision. Wants a new chapter. She was doing mainly weekend evenings for KOMO. Perhaps Stella Sun will move there. She has been sharing weekend mornings with Theron Zahn.

Not sure but I would honestly wonder that also. Just another issue like with the rest of them facing KIRO that I feel only gets resolved at this point by the station being sold. Apollo needs to get off its behind and decide if they want to sell the Cox stations or not. My preference for KIRO would be for either CBS or Scripps to buy them
ReplyDeleteI've been wondering about this as well. Monique is such an important presence on the KIRO anchor desk, lending valuable expierence and credibility to a station that sorely needs it. She seems to be about the same as she has always been on camera. I don't know about off camera, but I hope she is doing well. Losing Deborah Horne is bad enough for KIRO. Losing Monique would add major insult to injury.
DeleteI think Scripps is a seller, not a buyer. They just sold off a station in Florida for the expressed purpose of payinig down debt.
ReplyDeleteOK. Thanks for the insight sir
DeleteI agree that Scripps does seem to be more of a seller than a buyer right now. That being said, they are in the middle of swapping some stations in other parts of the country with Gray (the owners of KPTV and KPDX in Portland), so they could be a buyer as well if the right situation comes along.
DeleteMost welcome, I always appreciate your comments
