It amazes me how Richard Sherman is seen as some worthwhile football guru with his multiple DUI offenses, which continue slogging in court. Amazon keeps him on Thursday Night Football when there are ex-players available without police records. He gets off easy again, and my prediction would be, stay tuned, he will betray his sentence.
RENTON, Wash. -- Former Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman has received a deferred prosecution in his ongoing DUI case, a spokesperson with the King County Prosecuting Attorney's Office told ESPN.
A King County District Court judge on Tuesday granted a request by Sherman's attorney for the deferred prosecution, which means a charge is suspended in exchange for the defendant agreeing to meet certain court requirements.
I hope Sherman gets the help he needs to have a healthier relationship with alcohol. Perhaps this deferred prosecution can help with that.
ReplyDeleteAs for Amazon, I'm okay with them keeping Sherman on staff for now. But one more DUI and he has to go.
