The Seattle media historian wished the old NWCN was still around for important stories. Thanks for remembering my old station and the people who started it. His history of NWCN is in the FB comments.
"I am no longer at Komo 4." Thanks. Longtime Weather Anchor Rebecca Stevenson confirms that she left the station just before Christmas. Her last Facebook posts are 12/17. She has the Seattle station Quintafecta, having worked at the old NWCN, KING, KIRO, KCPQ and KOMO. Looks like her decision. Wants a new chapter. She was doing mainly weekend evenings for KOMO. Perhaps Stella Sun will move there. She has been sharing weekend mornings with Theron Zahn.
Tick tock tick, tick tock tick. Time keeps on slippin' into the future. . .
ReplyDeleteLast night would have been a great night to have NWCN around with the Tsunami watches and advisories. Being out at the coast, I found myself wishing that I could switch it on for continuing coverage as the other stations aired their normal network and syndicated programming. Nights like last night are what 24 hour news channels were made for. I'm greatful that we had NWCN for as long as we did, and hope that, maybe someday, something like it will grace our screens again.
