She's on her way to KING in August, but Patreons on ftvlive.com show several colleagues complaining about bullying tactcs and not wanting to work with her. It may explain why she moved from station to station in Seattle back in the day and wound up in a podunk market for years. Here's the post, you be the judge: FTVLive has heard from a number of staffers who described Lewis as a straight up "Bully." Now, normally, when someone reaches out to FTVLive and describes a co-worker is "mean" or a "bully", we don't pay it much attention. Not everyone likes each other and in a business full of big egos, there will be friction. But, the word "bully" kept popping up, when talking to people inside the WYFF newsroom. One insider shared a story in which WYFF Anchor Destiny Chance was to read a story while standing in front of the chroma key. One WYFF staffer described it this way, "Destiny had a shot at the chroma key after weather. The pr...
If Daniels really does want a job with the Sonics if and when they return, that ought to make KOMO finally take Niko seriously as their sports director as Daniels would have one foot out the door while Niko doesn't. It's becoming increasingly clear that Daniels wants to be involved in sports in some form. The question right now seems to be whether it will be as KOMO's next sports director or with a future Sonics organization.
ReplyDeleteNiko told me after this posted that he loves working with Chris, who is his friend and mentor. He says they are a team to make KOMO the best. Even teaming with morning news anchor Kelly Koopmans on the Storm pre-game show a while back does't bother him. Same answer. OK, I hear ya. I will say this, if it was me, I would be pushing hard to go solo.
DeleteI'm glad to hear that Niko seems to be okay with his place at KOMO. Things may look like they aren't right to us viewers, but if he and KOMO are satisfied, then that should be taken as a good thing. I wish Niko all the best in his continued time at KOMO, and hope he sticks around for many years to come. I also wish Daniels all the best, regardless of the path he ultimately goes down. We are better off for having both of them around covering the sports beat.
DeleteBTW there was a Storm game Sunday at 3 folowing ABC hockey, so no prre-game and halftime was done at the arena with the booth announcers. No Niko.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the update. The Storm season is far from over, so there should be more opportunities for Niko and KOMO to shine in the werks ahead.
