Reading comments made by a relatively new KJR-FM talk host that has some folks upset. It has to do with TV announcer Ryan Rowland-Smith's Australian accent. Much ado about nothing, IMHO, but here's the link.
"I am no longer at Komo 4." Thanks. Longtime Weather Anchor Rebecca Stevenson confirms that she left the station just before Christmas. Her last Facebook posts are 12/17. She has the Seattle station Quintafecta, having worked at the old NWCN, KING, KIRO, KCPQ and KOMO. Looks like her decision. Wants a new chapter. She was doing mainly weekend evenings for KOMO. Perhaps Stella Sun will move there. She has been sharing weekend mornings with Theron Zahn.
I’ve heard James a few times in KJR and he’s pretty a cliche sports radio guy. “Hot takes” and barstool yuk yuks. Nothing anyone hasn’t heard before.
ReplyDeleteSeriously, I used to listen to KJR sports radio steadily, back in the day. Back all my favorite hosts are gone and there are much more options.
ReplyDeleteThis guy, who I hadn't heard of, got his 15 minutes of fame.
So Marc James doesn't like Ryan Rowland-Smith's Australian accent? While James is entitled to his opinion, he didn't need to take a public jab at Rowland-Smith over it. As the saying goes, if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all.
