"I am no longer at Komo 4." Thanks. Longtime Weather Anchor Rebecca Stevenson confirms that she left the station just before Christmas. Her last Facebook posts are 12/17. She has the Seattle station Quintafecta, having worked at the old NWCN, KING, KIRO, KCPQ and KOMO. Looks like her decision. Wants a new chapter. She was doing mainly weekend evenings for KOMO. Perhaps Stella Sun will move there. She has been sharing weekend mornings with Theron Zahn.
MEDIA MAVEN - My goal is to publish media news (often with a critical eye) in the Pacific Northwest, covering Seattle, Spokane, Portland, Tri-Cities/Yakima and even a litte beyond. At times, I might even venture into the sports community. You can also see posts on @tvmavenseattle.bsky.social. I am a retired, longtime broadcast journalist and manager in multiple markets, writing prof at UW and PLU in WA state, author of Season of the 76ers, Kent St. and American U alum, PIttsburgh native.
That is quite a big jump in markets, though its not the first time that someone from KSBW has made a big jump like this. They had a weekend anchor who was promoted to Hearst's (Hearst owns KSBW) Washington DC Bureau, where he is now seen nationally. Another one of their former anchors landed at WESH, KSBW's sister station in Orlando. So its evident that KSBW has some very good talent and training if they are able to have multiple personalities make big jumps like this.
