It is standard operating procedure in local TV to bring in the top weather people to handle the rare Seattle snow, especially in a major Feb rating period. Shannon O' Donnell at KOMO and Morgan Palmer at KIRO are working and both are chief mets. Adam Claibon is on at KING, but Mike Everettt is the actual chief Met. The usual weekender, Leah Pezzetti, was missing. But, they have the KRAKEN at 6, so that may have factored in. We will see who gets the gig on Fox 13, which Sunday night will apparently have former KING freelancer Stephen Kilbreath. Where's chief Brian MacMillan? Oh well.

I think Brian is typically the morning show lead meteorologist during the week so don’t think he’d work the night shift and early shift. With Claire Anderson on maternity leave I think they’d have to have Stephen Kilbreath.
ReplyDeleteDuh, I know that unknown anonymous, but he's the chief and snow is rare and Stephen is not a meteorologist. Mayovsky has done weather long enough in this market to handle it in the morning. Hopperstad is already handy at the co-anchor desk.
