In just the first 4:40 of the Thursday night newscast on ABC, anchor David Muir uses the word TONIGHT 20 times. I gave up after that. Just awful writing. Ridiculous. And then him driving thru neighborhoods relating the obvious. Vanity, thy name is MUIR. He is in every single shot. It's not about him, but don't let that stand in the way, big Dave. Let the pictures tell the story without you.

ReplyDeleteTonight is such an anchor cliche, but for David, it seems to work "muir"acles.
ReplyDeleteHas long been consultant speak for anchors, but Muir has taken it to the 10th power.
ReplyDeleteMakes you think what his voicemail is like: "You've reached David Mur, anchor and managing editor of ABC's "World News Tonight". I am not available tonight, but will call you back if nothing else is breaking tonight. Thank you and have a nice night."
