The Seattle Times reports that Root Sports will be its TV home in 2025. But still $18.50 a month? Sheesh. A lot for mediocrity.
"I am no longer at Komo 4." Thanks. Longtime Weather Anchor Rebecca Stevenson confirms that she left the station just before Christmas. Her last Facebook posts are 12/17. She has the Seattle station Quintafecta, having worked at the old NWCN, KING, KIRO, KCPQ and KOMO. Looks like her decision. Wants a new chapter. She was doing mainly weekend evenings for KOMO. Perhaps Stella Sun will move there. She has been sharing weekend mornings with Theron Zahn.
I think MLB is in denial. Those of us who can remember when everything pretty much stopped during World Series time. Now, I wonder if the World Series ratings top the exhibition NFL games. Mariners are trying to sell hope, but I wonder how long that will last.
ReplyDeleteWorld Series ratings were down some this year, but with NYC and LA they did just fine. Baseball is still hard to watch with as much inaction as action. I did not pay for the Mariners this year and won't next year. They will have to go to direct to consumer at some point. Even in MLB produces the games next season, ROOT will still distribute. Aaron Goldsmith will likely be the TV voice with Blowers, but unsure of who replaces Aaron on radio. Probably a Mariners decision. I wonder what Scott Servais will be doing. Have not heard anything about his future yet.
